So I was at the bosses house this morning after a work night of drink and Blurays (saying DVD’s seemed wrong somehow) and the following advert came on TV and it has to be the best advert I’ve seen in ages. Oh yeah!
Clearasil obviously now have a highly competent advertising company working with them as the advert not only engaged my interest it also highlighted the product in a way in which I remembered the what was being advertised even though it played no part in the bulk of the advert.
Today I came across a post on Simplebits asking why Microsoft still insists on Internet Explorers failure to allow resizing of pixel sized font’s using it’s ‘Text Size’ tool:
In the post it asks whether or not this is a decision or a bug. Personally I think it’s a decision, and the more I think about it the more I think it might be the right one.
Firstly I never thought I would end up posting about so much stuff in as short a time but unfortunately this Easter weekends been a bit slow.
As i’ve mentioned only a few times before, i’ve been having some issues with WordPress, but now it seems after alot of wordpress reinstalls i’ve figured out what went wrong.
Firstly I was trying to build a dynamic site within the file structure of wordpress, without using wordpress to generate the content, but that didn’t work.
Then I thought about having the wordpress at a sub-directory, but I wanted the home page to be the blog. I couldn’t quite figure out how to make that work.
Now this website is live I’ve had to look into an alternative hosting solution on which to develop the site away from prying eyes and search engines. My current hosts limit the number of domains, sub-domains and databases I could use and although I have no issues with my current hosts I felt maybe it was time for a change.
For months MediaTemple had been on my radar as a possible host for the future that offered great services for a fair price. So I’m now signed up and on first impressions the guys and gals at media temple have done an awesome job. The features are awesome, including features that most hosts wouldn’t provide unless you had dedicated hosting. I can now host a hundred sites if I wish all with databases and uniquely configured settings. The interface is easy to use unlike so many other hosts I have come across. At the moment this site remains with my old hosts but eventually when the next phase is completed it will move on.
