A New Design: Part 3

I’m going to keep this post pretty short, really and just show off the final designs. Well when I say final that’s only if I don’t get any feedback from anyone commenting below or from Doug that affect the designs somehow.

Codename: Harmony

This past weekend, rather than get on with the stuff that I really should have been doing I instead started working on a new design for my own website. What started as realign of the background and header became something completely different.

On a side note quickly, I’d love to be able to post this stuff to dribbble, so if anyone has or gets any invites I’d be very appreciative of one.

A New Design: Part 2

Earlier in the week I wrote a post asking for some feedback on a design I was working on. Even though the design was only in the very early stages I got a good reaction as well as some good feedback. Since then I’ve been working on the design and I think It’s time to try and see what people think.

A New Design: Part 1

Recently I’ve been searching for ways to improve as a designer and obtaining a little more feedback on what I do from others in the community should definitely help. For most client work it’s not possible to get feedback like this early in the design phase but a project I’m doing for a friend seemed like a good opportunity to try something out.

Below is an early stage of a design I’ve been working on and essentially I’m going to describe a bit of the thinking behind the design and hopefully get some feedback to help make it even better.
