As my review of the year/decade wasn’t really up to much I thought I try again, but do something a little different. So rather than a roundup of my life it’s going to be a roundup of my blog. I can’t promise that any of this information is going to be of use to anyone but it keeps the blog ticking over with regular articles and to be honest my mind is a little preoccupied with another article that I’ll fill you in on sometime soon. So here goes with some fun info.

At this time of year everyone looks back over the past year reminiscing over the things they’ve achieved and the missed opportunities. Some even look over the past 10 years as we enter 2010. I was planning on doing the same but the edited highlights sort of went like this:
Left high school, went to college, then University where I spent a year at IBM in London. Pretty much all this time I worked at McDonald’s being the best damn burger flipper they had (although they don’t actually flip the burgers). If you’re reading this on Christmas day then please go back to opening presents or filling up on Turkey or chocolate. Today really isn’t a day for being sat at a computer, instead it’s a time for eating lots, watching Only Fools and Horses and spending time with the family.
If you’re still reading then all I have to say is Merry Christmas (hope you got all the presents you wanted), have a Happy New Year and I hope 2010 is a good’un.

When designing the previous version of my website I added in some Google ads to see if I could get the website paying for itself. It also gave me some experience on how to integrate and customise the ads. It was all seen as a bit of a test and it failed miserably. In 1½ years Google registered 13,018 impressions, 8 clicks and an most excellent earnings of 39p.
Surely enough to retire on.
