Other than feeling like you’re being stalked by your web history Google Remarketing has another annoyance that I’ve recently discovered.
When adding code which includes this script it will add and extra 13px of whte space at the bottom of your website.
When I wrote my first article for Onextrapixel I had a massive smile on my face to see it published knowing many more people should see it, share it and learn from it than would ever do if I was to simply add it to my own blog.
The things that happen after publishing an article such as receiving comments, increased twitter followers etc were all to be expected. What I didn’t expect until last night was having one of these articles become the basis for an Infographic. It was a rather awesome surprise and nicely brightened an otherwise cloudy day yesterday.
This past week Ryan Carson tweeted that Carsonified were looking for a new designer for their Treehouse project. Nothing strange here, however the tweet includes the salary for the position; a seemingly unusual move.
In recent years I’ve noticed a distinct lack of transparency in job advertisements over salaries, and up until this week I thought that was a bad thing. Yet on seeing Ryan’s tweets a whole host of different ideas stirred in my mind, many of them not favourable:
Here I am trying to write any old guff because it’s been over 3 months since I last wrote a blog post. The reason for the delay is a mass mixture of other commitments such as writing for other blogs, having a social life and lacking the time or inclination to be writing yet another post.
It would help if I could feel as if I could knock up a post in 20-30 mins but I try to get the post perfect, rewriting it a few times as if hundreds were going to be reading it (they don’t). A lack of decent stuff to write about also causes issues, with any truly awesome idea reserved for posting on other larger websites design websites. These posts take even longer to write and thus swallow any time I would realistically wish to spend writing for anyone.
