Portfolio
My portfolio along with this website showcases a selection of what I feel is the work that best showcases my abilities in both design and programming. In all the projects showcased I have contributed heavily, but as I work in a team I may have not been the sole contributor to the project.
Please feel free to look through my work and visit the websites themselves.
Company
Since 2006 I have worked as a Web Designer/Developer for Bronco Internet. The company is based in the quiet city of Ripon, North Yorkshire. The company is owned by David and Becky Naylor, both excellent people to work for, creating a relaxed and fun environment in which to work.
When first arriving at Bronco I predominantly undertook the companies design work, this involved creating the designs in Photoshop and building the design in HTML and CSS. As the company utilises both ASP and PHP coding I have had to become familiar with both coding languages and as such, my position in the company has expanded from one of just designer to also developer.
Freelance
Although I work full time I also accept freelance projects to help expand my knowledge and learning that enhances the abilities I already possess. When undertaking freelance projects I am careful to accept projects that most compliment my abilities and ensure that the project benefits from my involvement.
In some cases a client and their website may best be served by a larger company with the resources and personnel to create the best end product for the client. I feel neither the client nor I benefit from working on a project that I feel does not suit either myself or freelancing as a whole. In these cases I try ensure the client understand my views and in most cases recommend the company I work for as the client gets the benefit of my knowledge but with the extra resources a larger team can provide.
